My listening skill improvement with the exciting anime
I watched an anime in http://www.animefreak.tv which talked about a country which occupied another country. I saw the suffering of the occupied people from their enemies. However, there was a hero who was fighting those enemies to save that innocent people. I liked that anime very much because its story was an interesting story which made me excited with it. The accent of that anime was clear so I understood many words however there was many high level words which I didn’t understand such as, consequence, corresponding, and inevitable. That anime didn’t have Arabic translation this thing made me very careful to the vocabulary to understand the events of its story. Also, this anime took from me a longtime to watch it because it had 25 episodes. In addition, this anime was useful to be accustomed to the English accent. I think I will watch like this anime to improve my listening skill and to learn more high level vocabulary.

Language Learning Journal (week 8)

In the third week with my Language Learning Plan, I worked in two aspects of my Language Learning Plan which were listening and reading skills. In reading skill, I read three pages from http://english.aljazeera.net/ . I was interesting when I read different news about different countries for instance, Afghanistan, US, and Gaza. There was many difficult vocabulary I didn’t understand such as, candidate and crucial. I think that I didn’t understand that kind of vocabulary because I haven’t had good experiences of reading high level texts. However, I understood some ideas from those texts. I will keep up with these kinds of texts to learn more high level vocabulary and more information about other countries news.
The second aspect was in listening skill. I listened also, in http://english.aljazeera.net/ to improve my listening skill. The presenter’s reading was very fast and included high level vocabulary which I didn’t understand it. However, I picked out some words form that news which I understood for example, issue, policy, government, and illegal. I downloaded that video to listen carefully to it in next time. I will keep going with listening to Aljazeera news to improve my listening skill and because I interesting in listening to the news.
Whatever I learned there are a lot of information and vocabulary that I don’t know. I learned in that week that the world always doesn’t find the stability because of the political problems. Language Learning Plan’s strategies will make me improve my English language and learn new information in the same time.
